![]() ![]() Tried all the troubleshoots… uninstall all of the files for Social Club and Launcher, reinstall, nothing. Played for an hour and it never worked again after that. Got the game to run, met with ‘Activation Error’, something about a problem validating my Red Dead 2 account? Idk… logged out of social club logged back in and it worked. Thought nothing of it and ran the main game from NVIDIA software (which opens it through steam). After that process, only Red Dead Online showed up in the Rockstar Launcher. I’ve never had a PC rockstar game, so after launching it it prompted me to set up a Rockstar Social Club account and to download their launcher, so I did. ![]() Hey guys! So I’ve already refunded the game, but would be willing to purchase it again if someone here has a solution.īasically, I bought Red Dead 2 on steam. Once the game’s menu shows up, quit out of the other game. I just load a random Minecraft world, hit launch on Red Dead Launcher, and get almost no activation errors. If you keep getting activation errors, just RUN ANOTHER GAME IN THE BACKGROUND BEFORE LOADING RED DEAD 2. Why this causes an Activation Error is ridiculous but it can. Sometimes over-specced machines (all hardware newer + faster than when game came out on PC) do not have a high enough CPU usage at game launch. ![]() > So rockstar support ended up getting back to me with a ‘fix’. ![]()
